THE BENEFITS OF Dance To EvOLvE's RECITAL

• Participating in our recital is encouraged but not required
• No recital fee (no mandatory recital package to participate)
• EvOLvE provides free class and performance pictures to all families
• Volunteer opportunities in exchange for benefits such as free tickets and t-shirts
• Affordable costume fee (includes costume, tights and accessories)
• Free reception after the show
• Recital preparation starts in late spring as to not distract from non-recital dancers and regular weekly lessons
• To make recital convenient for everyone, dress rehearsal is scheduled directly before the actual show (It's a one stop shop for parents.)
• Age appropriate movement and costumes
• Dance To EvOLvE believes in providing students with a non-intimidating environment for a memorable experience (no distracting light effects)

THE BENEFITS OF PERFORMANCE

• The recital is a fun experience that creates lifetime memories
• The recital allows dancers to fully experience a performing art and the unique feeling of being on stage
• Preparing for a recital is a way for dancers to work on memorization skills, rhythm, technique, teamwork, and much more...and they LOVE having something to be proud of
• It gives dancers the opportunity to perform in front of an audience that will boost self-confidence in everything they do
• Family and friends get to see what their dancers have learned in dance class

RECITAL REQUIREMENTS/ POLICIES:

• Participating dancers must be registered in a class from April-June.  (We encourage students to register earlier in the year as to fully benefit from the class.)
• Recital is a commitment for everyone involved (dancers, parents, volunteers, teachers, etc).  Exceptions cannot be made and we encourage you to note deadlines to avoid late fees.  
• The dress rehearsal is required for all participating dancers.
• Any student who misses three or more classes during recital season will be evaluated for their readiness to participate in the recital since rehearsal is during regular class time.
• All dancers who are 3 years or older are welcome to participate in the recital.  (Mommy or Daddy & Me and Magical Munchkin dancers are just too young.)
• Photography and videography will be allowed during the show.  Please be respectful of all people around you.  No flash photography.
• Seating is first come first served. (No saving of seats to be fair to everyone.)

Show: Saturday, June 29, 2013
Mandatory dress rehearsal for dancers at 3:15pm.  Doors open for public at approximately 4:00pm.  Show begins at 4:30pm.  Aproximately 45 minutes with free reception to follow.
Place: A.N. Pritzker School (2009 W. Schiller, Chicago, IL 60622)
Parking: Street Parking Available
Registration: Available online (to pay with credit/ debit or PayPal) and mail-in registration form.

Registration Deadlines:
3/20-4/30: Early Bird Registration - Costume Fee: $50
5/1-5/30: 'Last Chance' Recital Registration Deadline - Costume Fee: $60 (if costume is available)

Costumes:  No refunds.  Everything is included in costume fee except shoes.  You keep it all!  A costume will not be ordered for any dancer without payment.  Please note that costumes are ordered in available sizes and families are responsible for any needed alterations.

Important Recital Dates:
4/1: All students participating in the recital MUST be registered in class.
4/8-4/13: Costume Fittings In Class
May: Costumes will be distributed in class as they arrive throughout May.
5/15: Teachers will post recital choreography online so that students can practice at home on the EvOLvE YouTube channel.

Tickets:  Tickets are non-refundable.  Seating is first come first served.  (No saving of seats to be fair to everyone.)  Handicap access available.
Adults: $12 in advance via order form/ $15 at the door.  Tickets are available online for purchase until 6/14.
6-14 yrs: $10 in advance via order form/ $12 at the door
5 yrs and under: Free!

T-Shirts: $10 at the door (cash, check, credit card accepted at the door).
