Marketing and Communications Intern

Do you have the ability to raise social media presence and communicate to a target market? Can you plan and organize participation in a marketing event? Do you enjoy working with people and want to grow your marketing and sales skills?

The Marketing and Communications Intern will manage and execute all social media campaigns including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. You will research, present and execute our participation in marketing events and track event effectiveness and return on investment. We welcome someone who is organized, eager, and able to communicate effectively through marketing, writing and blogging. This is an incredible opportunity to work with some passionate professionals with a wealth of experience running a business. Not only will you receive training on some truly marketable skills, you will get candid feedback, suggestions for improvement, and assistance fine tuning your resume from the Director of the company. This opportunity is only for those who want to get the most out of an internship and work with great people in the process!
Responsibilities

  • Write a weekly blog based on strategically chosen keywords
  • Daily social media posts to various accounts with inspirational, educational and promotional content
  • Research marketing events based on target market and cost effectiveness
  • Analyze marketing opportunities and make recommendations
  • Organize and staff marketing event and give feedback on results to Marketing Coordinator
  • Calling campaigns to previous, current and potential clients to share or obtain information
  • Coordinate and execute Marketing Flyer drops to area schools, homes, preschools.
  • Participation in various marketing/sales projects as they arise.

    Requirements
    This is an unpaid internship. 10-15 hours/week expected. Hours are flexible, and with the exception of weekly meetings with the Marketing Coordinator, all work may be done from home. Minimum 3 month commitment please.

Class Type: Varies between tap/ ballet combo classes and beginner hip hop classes.  

Location:  We have multiple locations throughout central San Diego and North County.
Schedule:  Schedules vary by location….but always looking for Saturday morning teachers.
Compensation:  Hourly rate is dependent on experience and class size, ranging from $22-$38 per hour.  Paid admin time.  Bonus potential.  Great training program.

* Experienced in teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz and/or Hip Hop (We are not a competition studio.)
* Must have excellent class management while also being able to develop students and implementing creativity
* Teachers must be fingerprinted through the City of San Diego's LiveScan.

* Always, always, always in need of SUBSTITUTE DANCE TEACHERS:
With all of our locations and all of our classes, great substitute teachers are in high demand, and we like to think outside of the box with our substitute teachers...so check out our opportunities.

* Substitute teachers are on our sub lists and are included in all our sub-need emails and texts.  You can let us know if you are available or not but we do appreciate a response either way so we know to keep you on our sub list.
* Saturday morning on-call substitutes get paid every Saturday morning for simple checking your phone and being able to teach when the need arises.
* Last minute substitutes get paid extra for any sub need that arises with less than 12 hours notice.
Pay:  Independent contractors hourly rate is dependent on experience ranging between $25-$30 per hour.  On-call substitutes $40/month + teaching rate when you teach.  Last minute subs $50/hour.

* Wanting great DANCE TEACHER ASSISTANTS: 
Do you love dance?  Love children?  Do you want to become a great dance teacher one day?  Our teacher assistant roles are amazing learning opportunities as you work directly with great, not just good, but great teachers.  Learn from the best and develop your experience while having fun!  Teacher assistants and teacher assistant substitutes are needed at multiple locations for our larger classes.  Must be reliable and genuine. Pay ranges from $10-$12 per hour.  We always love to invite our teacher assistants who are rockin’ it to become a substitute teacher and then a regular teacher!
