A chance encounter with the Dance To EvOLvE Director, Brittany, during a showcase for Cleveland Dance Project sparked Nicole’s excitement for the opportunity to teach. Her secret recipe for making dance classes both educational and enjoyable involves meticulous preparation, ensuring that classes are fun and engaging while still focusing on learning. Nicole loves incorporating music and choreography inspired by recent movies and pop culture to connect with her young dancers. To break the ice and encourage dancers to participate, Nicole adds a touch of silliness to activities like identifying colors during across-the-floor exercises or making imaginary pizzas during ballet circle. What truly fills Nicole’s heart with joy is witnessing the curious energy and wonder that movement and creativity bring out in her students, whether they’re pretending to be frogs or grooving to freeze dance. Beyond dance, Nicole’s quirky passion lies in mathematics and statistics, which she applies in her full-time role as a Services Manager for an IT Products and Services Company, balancing her analytical mind with her creative endeavors in dance teaching.
